Welcome to the Brandon British Club's website. We are a new club in town which offers friendship and support for our expat community here in Brandon, Florida. We meet socially a couple of times a month and have a wide mix of members, from young to old, singles and families. We offer our members a HOME AWAY FROM HOME or just a way to celebrate ALL THINGS BRITISH!
Calling all Cricketers
Do we have any avid cricketers in the group who would be interested in being a part of a cricket team? There's a possibility that we can hook up with a local group to form a team, which would enable them, and us, to use a cricket pitch and all their equipment. This could be a fun, regular event open to all, young and old alike! It would be a great way for everyone to be involved, even if it's just fielding or drinking tea and clapping from the sidelines, and a golden opportunity for us to educate the Americans in the art of cricket!!
BBC Quiz Team
A few of you have expressed an interest in putting together the BBC Quiz Team so we can participate in O'Briens' Trivia Night every Tuesday evening. If this is something that appeals to you, please let me know. I am looking for a Team Captain who can regularly attend and be the representative of the BBC team players. Teams comprise of 4-6 team members, and if trivia is your thing and you can attend regularly, then we need you!!! O'Briens have some great jackpot prizes and Tuesdays is their $5 burger night!! Trivia Nights are every Tuesday at 7pm.

Nimble Knitters Needed
Do we have any nimble knitters in our group? We have some members looking for tea-cosies and you can't seem to buy any around here! :) So if there's anyone in the group who could offer their knitting services, it would be appreciated. It would be a great thing to sell at our upcoming Harvest Festival in October.... more details about that to follow.
